What were some of your “must haves” for your wedding dress?
Something that made me feel like a princess, but was still my personality. Also, sparkles!

Was your vision the same as the wedding dress you choose?
100%! I knew I wanted a more princess style ball gown dress! I wasn’t sure how that was all going to come together but I started with that basic knowledge.

What did you love most about your gown?
How beautiful it made me feel! I would wear it everyday if I could! And once again, the sparkles!

How did you know you had found your wedding dress?
This sounds super cheesy but I just knew! When I tried it on again, I had this wave of emotion come over me and I saw myself walking down the aisle in it!

Most memorable moment from your wedding dress shopping experience:
How awesome the staff was! They were so kind and went over and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted! The sample dress in the store had smaller straps than I would have liked so they made sure that my dress had wider straps for extra support! It was just little things like that that showed they actually care about me!

Advice you would give to future brides about planning their wedding:
I would say stay true to who you are as a couple and don’t let Pinterest or long lost relatives tell you how you should plan your day! It is your day! If you don’t like cake, have cupcakes! Just the little details like that can make it extra special!

Advice you would give to future brides about wedding dress shopping:
It isn’t as scary as you think! If you go to the right place, like Gown Boutique of Charleston, then it will be super easy! Just know what flatters you and don’t be afraid to try something on that isn’t your style!

Gown Boutique of Charleston was the first and only place I looked for a dress. I just loved my experience so much! I wish I could do it again! They also have a great bridesmaid selection and amazing alteration recommendations! Oh yeah, and beautiful jewelry that I got for my day as well! The store owner is amazing, and she really cares about finding the perfect dress for YOU!

If a dress isn’t exactly how you want it, 99% of the time we can do some sort of customization to make your dress perfect for YOU! Once Sarah was made aware that she could have thicker straps and a raised back, she instantly knew she had found the one. Seeing how beautiful she looked in her customized Martina Liana dress is something we will always remember When shopping with us, don’t ever be afraid to ask if something can be changed! We got you 😉 Not only do we got you when it comes to making your dress perfect, but like Sarah said, we have everything else you need from your jewelry to your bridesmaids!
