Like many of our brides, Maci came to Gown Boutique of Charleston with a particular vision, but what she said yes to was better than what she ever imagined. Maci said “YES!” to a beautiful Essense of Australia ball gown and loved every detail about it. She knew it was the one when she just couldn’t take it off!

What were some of your “must haves” for your wedding dress?
Lace, sparkles, and flow.
|
|
Was your vision the same as the wedding dress you choose?
No! I thought I wanted long sleeves, but I ended up going with thin straps and more of a ballgown style. It was better than I could have imagined!
|
What did you love most about your gown?
I absolutely loved that it had an underlayer of sparkles and a champagne tint to it!
How did you know you had found your wedding dress?
I just had this feeling that I didn’t want to take off the dress. I felt more beautiful than I ever have! I think it was all the sparkles and intricate lacey details that sold me!

Most memorable moment from your wedding dress shopping experience:
I felt comfortable with the staff at Gown Boutique of Charleston, and I didn’t feel pressured to get any sort of style or higher priced dress! The whole experience was fun, and I got to try on a lot of different dresses and enjoyed every minute of it!
Most memorable moment from your wedding day:
My (now) husband and I did a first look on the long bridge at Magnolia Plantation, and I remember being so excited and jittery as I walked up to the bridge and saw him standing in the center. It was a moment that was just for the two of us, and it was a great way to kickstart forever!

Advice you would give to future brides about wedding dress shopping:
Don’t be afraid to branch out with different styles! I went with something completely different than what I wanted, and I am so happy I did!
