While Prince Harry and Megan Markle were saying “I Do!” Lauren was saying “YES!” to her dream wedding dress. Lauren wanted to look as classic and timeless as the princesses in the Royal Weddings! Lauren found the dress that fit her vision perfectly. Her wedding was a real life fairytale!
What were some of your “must haves” for your wedding dress?
I wanted a gown that felt classic and timeless. I knew it needed to be “simple” because I wanted to add a bolero to give it a look I had always imagined.

Was your vision the same as the wedding dress you choose?
Surprisingly, yes. So many people say that they got a dress that they never imagined, but I knew exactly what I wanted.
What did you love most about your gown?
I loved the way I felt in my dress. I felt like a princess, and I was so excited that my dreams were coming true. Also, I forgot to mention, it had pockets!

Most memorable moment from your wedding dress shopping experience:
I went shopping for my dress the day that Prince Harry and Megan Markle got married. My mom and I love the Royal Family, so that day was perfect. When we walked into the shop, everyone was wearing fascinators and talking about the wedding. It was such a fun day!
Most memorable moment from your wedding day:
One of the most memorable moments from our wedding day was after the ceremony when Phillip and I were on the trolley to go to the reception. For a brief moment, it was just the two of us, and we could finally take a deep breath and take everything in. I will never forget the way he looked at me and said, “You look absolutely beautiful, and I love your dress!”

Advice you would give to future brides about planning their wedding:
Be selfish. Your wedding day is your day. There were times where I was so concerned about what other people would think and their opinion on things and how to cater to certain people, but in reality it is your day, and you will be happiest if you focus on what is important to you.

Advice you would give to future brides about wedding dress shopping:
Trust yourself and wait until you are 100% confident. I had a friend that told me that after I found my gown to stop following wedding dress designers because I would second guess my dress. To this day I still follow so many of those accounts, but I would not change a thing about my dress.

Planning a wedding can be very stressful. It is so important to make sure you are surrounded by the best team of vendors and people that really care about you and make you feel important. The Gown Boutique of Charleston was amazing! It was the third place I visited, and I felt so comfortable as soon as I walked in. They were so friendly and the patience that my stylist had with me that day is something I will always appreciate. Gown Boutique of Charleston is the place to shop for your dream gown!
